Create a flexible brand system that reflects 4MATe’s innovative, learner‑centred technology—while working within their parent company’s colour palette and an accelerated timeline.

4MATe is on a mission to transform how organizations design learning—blending experiential 4MAT methodology with machine‑learning intelligence. Before launch, they needed a modern logo, a complete set of brand guidelines, and a handful of lightweight animations for their upcoming website.

The Insight

Innovation demands a balance of legacy and energy.

4MATe inherited solid, corporate hues that didn’t capture its dynamic promise. At the same time, the website was already in development—meaning we had to evolve the palette and identity fast, without overhauling the parent brand’s foundation.

The Solution

A refreshed palette, butterfly‑inspired logo, and subtle motion that breathe life into learning.

We structured our work around four pillars—colour, mark, typography, and motion—to deliver a cohesive yet flexible system:

  1. Colour Hierarchy: Rebalanced the parent palette (blue, black, orange) for greater vibrancy, introduced green/red/yellow as sparing accents, and documented usage rules to ensure consistency.
  2. Logo & Logomark: Fused an umbrella, human figure, and upward graph into a stylized butterfly—symbolizing growth, transformation, and the bridge between content and concept. Delivered full‑colour and mono variants, plus four contrast‑based marks for different backgrounds.
  3. Typography System: Paired Lexend (modern, open letterforms) with Space Grotesk (sub‑headings) to combine clarity with approachability across digital and print touchpoints.
  4. Micro‑Animations: Created three lightweight Lottie animations—logo reveal, pattern pulse behind key headlines, and button hover effects—to add personality and guide attention without slowing the site down.

The Results

Learning took flight.

 

  1. 3‑Week Delivery: Branding and motion assets completed on schedule, enabling the website to launch without delay.
  2. 40% Fewer Revisions: Clear guidelines and deliberate design choices reduced ad‑hoc styling requests, streamlining internal processes.
  3. +15% Time‑on‑Page: Early analytics showed learners engaging longer with key modules once subtle animations and refreshed styling were live.
